Vol. 1: The Organelle is a collaborative album made by Brooklyn musicians (Dial Up Records). The connecting thread through these twelve, diverse tracks is the instrument we used to make them. Each song was made with the same synth, which we biked, walked, and subwayed to each other this winter. Ambient, hip-hop, indie, pop, rock, experimental—it all comes from the same place/space/sentiment. We want to create together, even when we are apart. All proceeds from this project will be donated to Public Assistants (www.instagram.com/publicassistants), a mutual aid group based in Crown Heights.
